TENNIS COURT RULES

Tennis Rules

WHEREAS, The Board of Directors (“The Board”) for Alaqua Lakes Community Association, Inc. (“The association”) is empowered to govern the affairs of the Association pursuant to its governing documents as specifically set forth in Section 5.4 of the Covenants Conditions and Restrictions recorded in Seminole County Official Records Book 3275, Page 1009 (“CCR’s”);

WHERAS, The Board has determined a need to adopt these specific Rules and Regulations pertaining to the common area and recreational facilities specifically the tennis courts, with reference to Article and Section 14.18 of the CCR’s; and,

THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Directors as of the date below the following Rules and Regulations are hereby adopted by the Board on behalf of the Association, Applicable to all Members, residents, guests, and invitees:



1.    Hours of Operation – 

a.    Daily from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. with mid-day watering.


2.    General Restrictions – 

a.    Court reservations required per Electronic Sign-up System, www.alaqualakes.playbypoint.com        

b.   All guests must be accompanied by a resident at all times. When guests are present, there must either be a resident playing on the same court or an accompanying non-playing resident at the tennis courts. A court cannot be reserved if all the players on the court are guests and the only accompanying resident is playing on another court.

c.    Tennis attire only; tennis court shoes only.

d.   No profanity or alcoholic beverages on the court.

e.    No children under 12 years of age unsupervised. 

f.     No play when courts are wet (standing water).

g.    When lightning is detected, residents must leave the courts. 



3.    Court Reservation – 

a.  May be made no more than 48 hours in advance, beginning at 8:00 am. 

b.  Due to demand for Court 1, moving forward Court 1 cannot be booked in advance by the same household more than two times per week (Monday - Friday) and one time on the weekend.

c. Courts may only be reserved by residents. A resident may reserve no more than one court in his/her name during any given time period.

d.  The login of a second member of a household may not be used to lengthen an existing reservation or to reserve a second court to extend their time period unless a second household member will be playing during that time or playing on the additional court.

e.   Residents are forbidden from making reservations for others.

f.    The maximum reservation will be a 2-hour block. 

g.     Reservation is automatically forfeited if players are 10 minutes late.

h.    Cancellation – If you cannot keep your reservation, please be courteous and cancel your reservation by logging onto the Tennis Court System. No-shows, particularly at peak times such as Saturday mornings, detract from the enjoyment of the residents. If you need to cancel reservation close to your scheduled time, please contact the management office.

i.   The reservation system and court use will be monitored. Violators of the court reservation rules will first receive a warning letter advising them of the violation. A second violation will result in a 60-day suspension of log-in privileges.

j. Anyone found to be using a bot, software program, or other system that provides an unfair advantage to booking a reservation, will immediately be suspended from the platform and will need to petition the board to have their privileges reinstated.
